It’s our unshakeable belief that India will only achieve its true growth story when the rural sector of the country is empowered to make choices and transform their own lives. With this thought process, we initiated KariGrah Foundation with a mission to empower rural lives through a unique 360-degree development model which covers thematic areas namely Skill Development, Health & Nutrition, Education, Water & Sanitation, Digital Transformation, Sports , Art, Culture and Economic Development. Our aim is to ensure that this model can be replicated at scale across India and perhaps even the world.
KariGrah Foundation works towards enhancing access to quality and affordable healthcare in India. We work towards the simple goal of reliable, affordable and quality health care services to the marginalized communities that do not have access to health care services and do not get proper nutritional food. The Foundation’s healthcare model provides continuum of care to the most vulnerable sections of society through a network of healthcare delivery mechanisms ranging from preventive and primary care to tertiary care.
Education is at the heartthrob of KariGrah Foundation’s vision for India and is critical to the country’s social and economic progress. Rural communities are already disadvantaged when it comes to the opportunity of education, skills and this disadvantage is magnified towards majorly for women and girls. Our Initiatives include the Tribal Education, Madarsa Education, Community Learning.
We believe that access to drinking water is a fundamental human right of every individual and our goal is to ensure every household in our geography gets potable drinking water Just like access to water is of prime importance, having a household toilet is required for the development of rural areas. Our goal is to ensure every individual from a rural family has access to a toilet and sanitation in his household and uses it every day.
Growing mobile phone and laptops in rural regions will lead to the next wave of growth in the adoption of digital technology. Under the goal of digital literacy, we aim to guide online experiences that help communities discover and mine information that is most useful and relevant to their life – information that will eventually decrease the current information gap faced in the region.
We believe that sports is a medium to encourage lifelong learning, and to build character and leadership skills among the youth of India – our future nation builders. We believe that when children or youth learn and play, communities grow and countries prosper. Besides using sports to empower the youth, we aim to create a platform for the champions of the future. Our fellow members from NSS are our highest strength to support us in this initiative.
With the aim & objective to preserve India’s rich heritage of art and culture as well as to enhance avenues for livelihood of traditional artisans and crafts persons, KariGrah Foundation is constantly reimagining ways to protect and promote Indian Arts, Culture & Heritage. We have collaborated with artisans from different parts of the world and encouraging them to enhance their skills and protect Indian Culture.
