KariGrah Foundation believes in the power of skill of an artisan and works with the rural and urban artisans to and fro to improve their standard of living through self-sustenance. We help the artisans to grow and support them in their registration process, statutory and tax compliances, business planning, marketing, financial management and their inventory management.
We have a team of more than 50 members all over India who work to train the artisans and transform their lives through upskilling. We are majorly engaged with the children and women to build an equitable ecosystem by creating economic opportunities for them. We have been training with the skills like textile, lakh products, wooden or paper handicrafts, paintings, stone carving, clay craft, blue pottery etc.
Tossed by loss of markets, declining skills, economic issues and difficulty catering to new markets, a large number of artisans have also migrated in distress situations to urban areas in search of low, unskilled employment in industry. There is a high need to assist them in developing their skills and enterprises in a manner that enables them to compete in new and emerging markets.
